I called a business a few days ago, and told the assistant I was “Jeff Laity from XYZ.” A minute later, someone picked up the phone laughing. “I thought she said deaf lady from XYZ! I was asking how the heck am I supposed to talk to a deaf lady over the phone?”

What’s really amazing is that this has never happened before.
