Back from Bonaire. The camera enclosure flooded, which totally blows. I managed to get a few shots before it died, however.
I’m currently at a loss for what to do. I considered asking for a refund or trading it in for another model, but my dealer asked what I would trade it in for. A good point — this is one of the best enclosures you can buy, and any other Canon enclosure would be a step down. But five issues with the camera in 15 dives, including the dome port FALLING OFF THE FREAKING CAMERA just before the dive when it flooded…
I’m calling the president of the enclosure company tomorrow for guidence. Currently I like his product, but I don’t trust it enough to put my camera inside of it. We’ll see what he can come up with to change my mind.

That’s a very, very small fish that lives in a hole in the Brain coral. The head of the fish is 1/2 the size of your pinky fingernail.
I photographed about 35% of the dives with the Digital Rebel and 45% with a rental 3-megapixel camera.

Ah – brain coral. That would explain its looking like a brain.
